We recently got the last couple caches necessary to finish the D/T grid - quite an exciting achievement as any cacher will tell you! Some of them required a bit of travelling though, Rochester doesn't quite have all the caches you might want if you're looking to fill the grid without going too far. So we thought we'd place a few to help fill in those gaps a bit! Funny enough, both D1/T4.5 and D4.5/T1 fall into this category, so it seemed only fitting to start with those two together, and where better to place them than a park currently bereft of geocaches.
This cache and its sister cache Bring Your Tools are in Finn Park, which we didn't know existed until we were looking for an empty spot on the map. It has a lodge, small playground, and a number of well-maintained trails in the woods.
This is the high-terrain one, so you won't be able to stroll right up to the container ;) Cache should be easily visible from the trail, though it was placed when most of the leaves had fallen, so in case it is more obscured in other seasons a picture of the host will be in the gallery. Even then it should still be pretty easy to spot hanging from its branch - no binoculars needed for the spot, though you may want them when you get up there! Cache is a small wooden box hanging from a branch. When you reach it, just lift the top of the outer container in order to retrieve the inner container. The top is securely attached, but the inner container is not, so make sure you don't drop it!
