Let's celebrate the 25th birthday of NH #1 - Mines Follies and geocaching in New Hampshire!

- Weather: Rain or Shine (but we're planning for Shine!)
Thanks to Paul Lamere who hid NH #1 - Mines Follies in October 2000! Read the story on the NH #1 cache page. Also, thanks to Nashuan for enthusiastically maintaining NH #1 for over 12 years and for hosting the 10-year celebration called NH#1 Mines Follies (GC9E) turns 10 today!
As we celebrate 25 years of geocaching in New Hampshire, we would like to recognize noteworthy hiders of geocaches. Please give us your nominations in various categories by listing the hider's geocaching name and the GC code of the noteworthy hide using the Nominations for Recognition of Noteworthy Geocache Hides Google Form. Nominations need not be limited to NH hides or cachers, although only hiders in attendance at the event will be recognized. Nominations will be accepted via the Google form through 5:00 p.m. on 28 October 2025, but if you could respond as soon as possible, we would appreciate it! Thanks for your feedback!
On a related note, please post your "Will Attend" logs for general planning purposes and so we know who can be recognized as a noteworthy hider!

Note: We apologize for having to hold the event so early in the afternoon on a weekday, but the event is on the actual 25th birthday of the cache, and unfortunately it's getting dark early enough (sunset is at 5:42 p.m.) that we had to schedule the start time for 4:00 p.m. You do not need to attend for the entire event duration to log your attendance!

- 4:15 (Optional) Gather at event coordinates for group walk to NH #1
- 4:35 (Optional) Congregate near GC9E - NH #1 - Mines Follies
- 4:50 Return to event coordinates
- 5:15 Group Photo at Event Coordinates (not at NH #1)
- 5:25 Recognition of Noteworthy Geocache Hides
- 6:00 Event officially ends (but folks are welcome to chat longer!)
