Geocache Description:




A series of caches have been hidden to celebrate Block Party events.

Block Parties are a special type of MEGA or GIGA Event with a unique cache type icon.

The original Block Party was held July 4th, 2010, and this year (2025) will be the first time since 2015 that an official Block Party was held.

Previous Block Parties, were primarily in Seattle, an annual MEGA event hosted by Groundspeak at their HQ in Washington.

During 2025 to Celebrate 25 years of Geocaching, these events will be held worldwide, a "Global Celebration".

- Quiz night, raffles and spot prizes
- A group night time Adventure Lab
- Puzzle Solving Strategies session
- Meet the Reviewers Panel
- Workshops on Camouflage Techniques and Gadget Cache Builds
- Lackey from HQ attended
- Special appearance by "Signal the Frog"
- "First New Zealand" GC45 Memorial Plaque (GC892XR)
- "The Original Lid" (TB8JCCF) a trackable created from the remnants of GC45 was able to be discovered
