OK folks, lets start off the new year of 2025 in a positive way, time to give back to our local communities for allowing us to place our caches throughout Brevard County in all of their wonderful parks and open areas.
State Road 528 (SR 528), alternatively named the Martin Andersen Beachline Expressway (with parts previously named the Bee Line Expressway), is a partially-tolled state road. Spanning approximately 53 miles along a west–east axis, it connects Interstate 4 (I-4) in Orlando with I-95, Titusville, and Cape Canaveral on the Space Coast. This particular spot is unofficially known as Kayak Beach and is great spot to launch kayaks/canoes to explore this peaceful section of the Banana River, watch rocket launches, and see the big boats.
This cleanup event will start at 10:30 a.m. and go until 11:45 a.m. Wednesday morning. Bring gloves and grabbers if you have them. We will supply some grabbers, buckets, garbage bags and plenty of ice-cold water. Come prepared to work. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for working in and around water and rocks and lets be careful. Please be prompt so we can ensure the area gets the attention it needs.
