The Great Trail consists of 24,000 kms of multi-use trails which connect and stretch across Canada from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island and up to the Northwest Territories. It is truly our trans Canada trail and apparently 4 out of 5 Canadians live within 30 minutes of it. The New Tecumseth section is covered with pea gravel and skirts beautiful farmland. No motorized vehicles are allowed so enjoy walking, biking, skiing or snowshoeing this great trail.
When I was caching out in British Columbia, I came across a geocache with a note in the log that asked the finder to remove the container because Doug aka RambleOn had recently passed away and his hides were being archived. I removed this one and three others and vowed to take them back to Ontario and re-use them. So, Doug, your caches live on. Apparently geocaching was your passion and you couldn't always get away to enjoy it so I hope you are in a place where you can continue to cache for all time.
This cache is hidden just off the trail. Please return it as found to discourage muggles and allow the next cacher to enjoy the hunt.
