Waʻahila Ridge State Recreation Area is a beautiful place to spend time. The woods are great for hammocks, picnics, hiking, and more. Around the parking lot are a few pavilions, a bathroom, and a paved walkway. There is an unofficial bike trail that goes down the mountain and connects to Dole St. (By Kānewai Community Park). The are trails that go far up the mountain, and I know more caches are on those trails. Please walk around and explore, but be cautious since you're on a mountain. Also, fair warning, areas with lots of pine on the ground are unexpectedly slippery, so be careful. As you explore, you might find an awesome lookout spot and see the Kahala area, Manoa Valley, or Waikiki (depending on which side of the mountain you're on). Narnia is a street name for Waʻahila Ridge State Recreation Area (I think it's because this forest is beautiful and mystical).
Please be careful of slippery and loose pine. Near the cache is a pretty cool but sad burnt-out tree.BYOP. Be safe!
Congrats to Skotlee on FTF!
