There is a girl named Emily who learned today how to make and hide a geocache. Emily selected all of the fun stuff to go into the geocache, and then she went for a walk with her mom snottytoiletchunks, her uncle DougyB, and DougyB's friend Desafio. They went for a stroll in the woods near Emily's grandparent's house. Emily looked at a few spots for hiding her treasure chest. First she looked at some logs, but that wasn't quite right. Then she saw a stump, but there was something in the stump that she did not want to disturb. Another tree looked good, but it was too close to the trail. And then Emily found a tree that was just right...it wasn't too far away from the trail, but she could hide the geocache where it could not easily be seen. And, since Emily is only 6 years old, she was the best person for hiding the goecache in this spot.
And just a note about geocaches, for those of you who are new to this hobby. The log book (and any container it is in) is to be signed and left where it was found. And if there are other special things inside the geocache youare welcome to take something...and if possible, please leave something for others to find and treasure.
Emily (and the rest of us) had a lot of fun selecting the SWAG for her goecache, and finding a place to hide it. We all hope that you have as much fun finding it as we did placing it.
And here is a photo of Emily showing you just how much fun she had! Emily would be very happy if you shared a photo (even if it is a big thumb's up instead of your face) to show her how much fun you had.
