The Hudson Way Rail Trail is a 10 mile path and cycle-way between Market Weighton and Beverley along the old railway line. The line was opened in 1865 and closed in 1965 after the Beeching report that devastated the railways. George Hudson was the railway magnate responsible for building the railway.
This area is a hawthorn nature reserve, so all caches are placed to avoid damaging the area. Please be aware of this when looking for the caches and avoid damaging the habitat. My caches have been placed with the permission of ERYC countryside team.
A simple cache, please unscrew it rather than remove the whole cache and replace as found, thanks. This is a relatively quiet part of the Hudson Way, so stealth is unlikely to be necessary, but do keep an eye out for the occasional muggle.
