The cemetery has no posted hours. It's still a cemetery. Be respectful. If you look for it after dark, please be careful about tripping over headstones. Seriously. Voice of experience here.
As with the settlement of many towns, the first town property is the cemetery. Manila was settled in 1898 by the Warby and Twitchell families who were some of the earliest "residents" of this cemetery. See if you can find the large plots for these families across generations as you wander about.
This is a simple three-stage multi. The posted coordinates take you to a very modern grave site. Use the information here to find your way to another grave.
At Stage 1:
Using the monument on the grave at the posted coordinates, fill in N40 59.ABC W109 42.DEF to find your way to a second grave. For letters, use A=1....Z=26.
A = First letter of the mother's first name
B = First letter of musical instruments belonging to "Elf Land"
C = Number of visible sides on this monument
D = Last digit of father's birth day
E = Last digit of father's death day
F = Number of Latin words minus 14
You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.
At Stage 2:
Use the information on the monument on the second grave to fill in N40 59.UVW W109 42.XYZ for the final. For letters, use A=1....Z=26. Since being sure you are at the right grave can be tricky using coordinates given the closeness of the headstones, you are looking for a child's grave with a metal plaque above it.
U = Second digit of birth year
V = Second letter of first name
W = Third digit of death year minus third digit of birth year
X = Death day
Y = what grave in the cemetery minus 1
Z = Second digit of death year
Checksum for the needed six digits for the final is 30.
