Take a walk to find more caches in Wopsy Mountain's "Evergreen Forest"! I have added a few caches to the area to accompany my MORE Evergreen Forest (GC9CFTY) cache and to highlight 74VWbus's cache that started it all, Evergreen Forest (GC5KJDF). This is an approximately 0.5 mile (one way) hike on a mostly flat trail. The trail is not marked (blazed) but is fairly well-traveled and easy to follow. From parking take the SGL road and at about 0.3 miles, take the trail to the left. The gate at parking is open at certain times of the year, so then, you can drive in and park closer. Here you will hike through a beautiful Evergreen Forest, lots of beautiful rhododendrons, mountain laurel, hemlocks, and groves of pine trees. Wow!
At the beginning of the Evergreen Forest, there is a bridge across the creek. This cache is near there, BEFORE the bridge, away from the creek a little. The cache is a small container. BYOP. Please replace as found with geocover. This cache is in a well-hunted SGL area, so please wear your orange, especially during the main hunting seasons.
