Welcome to our winter series for 2024-25 which will take you on a tour of the Upper Peninsula. Be sure to collect all the codes along the way as you will need them to help find the bonus geocache location. The geocaches are guaranteed to be available through Easter Sunday April 20.. Have fun and enjoy! FTFs were claimed at the morning event.
Chippewa County is a fairly large County located at the Eastern end of the Upper Peninsula. Sault Ste Marie is the major city that lies within this County. It is here that you can go visit the soo locks boat tours. In the Northwestern part of the county you can go visit Tahquamenon Falls State Park home of Michigan's most popular waterfall Tahquamenon Falls. You can also venture to the northernmost part of the county and visit whitefish point which is home of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and it offers a nice display dedicated to the Edmund Fitzgerald which sank just off the coast of whitefish point in a huge storm in November 1975. At the posted coordinates you are looking for a white tag that will give you the information that should help you get to the final geocache location.
