Funtana ‘e susu a Nurallao è un’antica fornace in cui in passato venivano prodotte tegole, mattoni in laterizio e brocche. Nel territorio infatti abbondano caolino e argille refrattarie e il paese di Nurallao per anni ha legato la sua economia ai processi di produzione della calce e al lavoro nelle cave di argilla.
Oggi l'antica fabbrica è stata recuperata ed è uno splendido esempio di archeologia industriale.
La cache si trova vicino all’omonima e antica fontana scavata nella roccia, che in passato forniva l’acqua alla popolazione di Nurallao e ad altri paesi.
Funtana 'e susu in Nurallao is an ancient kiln where in the past tiles, bricks and jugs were produced. In fact, kaolin and refractory clays abound the area and for years the town of Nurallao linked its economy to the lime production processes and work in the clay quarries.
Today the ancient factory has been recovered and is a splendid example of industrial archaeology.
The cache is located near the ancient fountain of the same name carved into the rock, which in the past provided water to the population of Nurallao and other villages.
