S'Arcu 'e Su Quaddu è un monumento naturale particolare che si trova nel territorio di Seulo: si tratta di un arco di arenaria, morfologicamente simile a un dolmen, da cui si gode di una vista eccezionale sulla sottostante valle del Flumendosa. In epoca preistorica (IV-III millennio a.C.) fu parzialmente scavato per realizzare una Domus ‘e Janas ("casa delle fate"), ossia una tomba.
"Quaddu" in sardo vuol dire cavallo, quindi il luogo significa letteralmente l'arco del cavallo.
Per arrivare alla cache devi seguire la strada sterrata che conduce alla magnifica cascata di Sa Stiddiosa: parcheggia al WayPoint indicato e da qui percorri il sentiero in salita che in circa 15 minuti ti porterà alla cache.
S'Arcu 'e Su Quaddu is a particular natural monument located in the Seulo area: it is a sandstone arch, morphologically similar to a dolmen, from which you can enjoy an exceptional view on the Flumendosa valley below. In prehistoric times (4th-3rd millennium BC) it was partially excavated to create a Domus 'e Janas ("house of the fairies"), which was a tomb.
“Quaddu” in Sardinian means horse, therefore the place literally means horse's bow.
To reach the cache follow the dirt road to the magnificent Sa Stiddiosa waterfall: park at the indicated WayPoint and take the uphill path which will take you to the cache in about 15 minutes.
