A walk through Newtownards town centre today and noticed the Christmas tree has been erected. That spurred me into action to continue the tradition of holding a Secret Santa Event.

In the past, this has been a well attended event which gives the opportunity for geocachers to get together, wish each other a Happy Christmas and receive a present from Secret Santa. This event will also give the opportunity to enjoy some geo-chat as well as dropping, discovering and retrieving trackables.
Where - Conway Square, Newtownards
When - Sunday 15th December, 2024
Time - 4.00 - 4.30pm, 16.00 - 16.30hrs
Hopefully, by holding the Event a few days before Christmas Day this will give families with young children more opportunity to attend.
If you don't wish to participate in Secret Santa but still want to attend the event that's no problem. You'll still get your smiley for attending. However, if you do want to join in you should spend a few pounds on a small gift. Pound shops are great for picking up items such as tab lock boxes, note books, pens and swaps. If you are taking part your wrapped present should be placed in Santa's sack.
A logbook will be available to sign.
The wearing of Santa hats and Christmas jumpers is optional.
At the end of the event I'm sure the geo-chat will continue in the nearby coffee or (hot chocolate) shop.
