This memorial was erected in honour of the people from the area who served in the First World War. Names of those who died in the Second World War were added later.
The names of the war dead are on the front face. On both sides of the memorial is a Roll of Honour, listing local people who served in the First World War and survived.
The inscription reads: “Er diolchus gof am y rhai a roddasant eu bywydau drosom o’r plwyf hwn yn y rhyfel 1914-1918.”
This translates as: “In grateful memory of the ones from this parish who gave their lives on our behalf in the war 1914-1918.”
