Il Nuraghe Ardasai si trova nel territorio di Seui, a 1.015 metri di altitudine, arroccato su una sporgenza rocciosa che domina un panorama spettacolare. Situato alle pendici del Monte Tònneri, una delle vette più alte del Massiccio del Gennargentu, e circondato dalla Foresta di Montarbu, questo antico sito offre uno sguardo affascinante sul passato. Grazie alla sua posizione strategica, il Nuraghe Ardasai era un punto di controllo fondamentale delle vie di accesso alle Barbagie durante il periodo del Bronzo Medio (1.500-1.200 a.C. circa). Questo complesso archeologico comprende una torre centrale con volta a tholos, una scala interna che portava al piano superiore, e una robusta muraglia con torri secondarie.
Ai piedi del nuraghe si trovano i resti di un villaggio nuragico, con capanne dalla forma ovale e circolare. L’area è arricchita dalla presenza di una Tomba dei Giganti e di una fonte sacra, che testimoniano l’importanza spirituale e comunitaria di questo luogo per le antiche popolazioni.
Immerso in un contesto naturale incontaminato, il Nuraghe Ardasai rappresenta un perfetto equilibrio tra storia e paesaggio montano, raccontando il legame profondo tra l’uomo e il territorio del Gennargentu.
Nuraghe Ardasai is located in the territory of Seui, at an altitude of 1.015 meters, perched on a rocky ledge overlooking a spectacular panorama. Located on the slopes of Mount Tònneri, one of the highest peaks of the Gennargentu Massif, and surrounded by the Montarbu Forest, this ancient site offers a fascinating glimpse into the past. Due to its strategic location, Nuraghe Ardasai was a key control point of the access routes to the Barbagie Mountains during the Middle Bronze Age period (around 1.500-1.200 BC). This archaeological complex includes a central tower with a tholos vault, an internal staircase that led to the upper floor, and a strong wall with secondary towers.
At the foot of the nuraghe are the remains of a Nuragic village, with oval and circular-shaped huts. The area is enriched by the presence of a Tomb of the Giants and a sacred spring, testifying to the spiritual and communal importance of this place for ancient peoples.
Nestled in an unspoiled natural setting, Nuraghe Ardasai represents a perfect balance between history and mountain landscape, telling of the deep connection between man and the Gennargentu territory.
