La Sardegna, con la sua antica storia, è un vero e proprio libro di geologia a cielo aperto, dove si riflettono tutte le Ere geologiche. Tra i numerosi geositi dell’isola, spicca l’ex vulcano di Zeppara Manna (580 m), un piccolo cratere di 40 metri situato sulla Giara di Genoni. Questo antico vulcano, che ha cessato la sua attività milioni di anni fa, è un esempio affascinante di formazione geologica. Nella stessa area si trova anche un secondo cono eruttivo, il Zepparedda (609 m).
Sardinia, with its ancient history, is a veritable open-air geology book, where all geological eras are reflected. Prominent among the island's many geosites is the former volcano of Zeppara Manna (580 m), a small 40-meter crater located on the Giara di Genoni. This ancient volcano, which ceased its activity millions of years ago, is a fascinating example of geological formation. A second eruptive cone, Zepparedda (609 m), is also located in the same area.
