Geocache Description:

During WWII both the Allies and the Axis Powers developed spy networks.   Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to determine the code name of two spies, one for the Allies and one for the Axis based on the clues below.

Allies Axis
Served on the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War. Served on the National side during the Spanish Civil War.
Offered to spy for Great Britain but was rejected on three different occasions finally being accepted after passing the security check conducted by MI6. Created a false identity as a fanatically pro-Nazi Spanish government official and successfully became a German agent.
Played a leading role in Operation Fortitude. Mission: Travel to Great Britain to recruit agents.
Provided code-breakers both the original and the Enigma-encoded intercept, giving code-breakers the best possible source material for an attack on the Enigma key. Spy network was so efficient and verbose that his German handlers were overwhelmed and made no further attempts to recruit any additional spies in the UK.
Received an "Order of the British Empire" from King George VI, on 25 November 1944. Awarded the Iron Cross Second Class on 29 July 1944 for his services to the German war effort an award which required Hitler's personal authorization.

Post WWII he moved to Venezuela, where he lived in relative anonymity running a bookstore and gift shop.

Post WWII he traveled to Angola and faked his death from malaria living out the rest of his life in relative anonymity.
