Geocache Description:


The 171st Hampshire Monthly Midweek Cache event is being held at
The Woodpecker, Waterlooville
Wednesday 8th January 2025 from 6.30pm - 9.30pm

179 London Road
Waterlooville
PO7 7RL

The event will be from 6.30pm until 9.30 pm. The bay window conservatory area which is to the left of the bar will be reserved for Geocachers.

PARKING
There is a pub car park but if this fills up there is an additional public car park at the end of Rowlands Avenue at N50 53.203 W001 01.883
OVERFLOW PARKING We have also been given permission to park in Waterlooville Baptist church car park which is on the main London road opposite the pub. Please put a note on your windscreen saying geocacher


There is a new landlord since the last meet here and the staff may not be familiar with the numbers they need to cater for - I would like to make sure they are fully prepared so please log your will attend as soon as you are able to and please mention in your log if you intend to eat. The landlord has asked for an idea of numbers a week in advance so he can arrange appropriate staffing.

There will be the chance to meet other cachers, exchange caching stories and gain puzzle hints or get advice on any other geocaching issues. There will be a raffle consisting of many geocaching prizes and also the chance to win a Hampshire Monthly Midweek Meet Geocoin (£1 per strip - cash or PayPal). The treasure chest will be available to drop off, swap or discover Geocoins and Travel Bugs

Everyone is welcome, If this will be the first event you have attended don't worry we are a friendly bunch and if you ask for GeoJaxx I will happily introduce you to others and explain what happens. Please feel free to send me a message on my geocaching profile if you have any questions.
