Geocache Description:

Christmas in Ufa!

You better watch out, you better not cry
You better not pout, I'm telling you why:
Santa Claus is coming to town

The first few lines of a famous English Christmas carol to invite you to my event.
Unfortunately, Santa Clause is not coming, but 23Hunter is!

That's almost as good as santa, isn't it? (Very funny, right?)
In Germany we celebrate Christmas on December 24th, unlike in Russia where it is the 7th of January.
It all started in the year 1582 when the Gregorian calendar was invented by Pope Gregory to fix some of the glitches in the Julian calendar as astronomy became more accurate.
In that year, October 5th became October 15th and was immediately adopted in most European Catholic countries.
Some believers - known as Orthodox Christians - felt this was wrong and stuck with the Julian Calendar.
In Russia the Gregorian calendar was only adopted in 1918 by the decree of the Soviet government. January 31st that year was followed immediately by February 14th.
By 1923, there was a 13 day difference between the two calendars, putting Orthodox Christmas 13 days after December 25th, on 7th of January.
Once you have passed this history lesson you can come to my event. Hahaha. (Achievement Unlocked )
How to find me:
You can use your gps, enter the coordinates, and walk all the way.
You may also use public transport...
While it's cold outside, it will be an enjoyable and warm atmosphere inside.
Don't forget, bring your geocoins and travel bugs, in case they have to move to another country.
Then use the coordinates and come up to the:

Irish Pub Dublin on december 24th from 06:00 PM until 08:00 PM.

If you have any questions, or can't find the pub, don't hesitate to send me a message.
Once inside the cafe look for a table with a GPSr device on it and/or a guy in a yellow sweater.
Don't be shy.
We're looking forward meeting new cachers.
I will be inside for at least 30 minutes after the event start time. If no one shows by that time I'll probably leave.
Hope to see old friends and see some new faces.
