SI:

ENG:

Under Erjavčeva koča mountain hut, right next to the road after the 22nd bend, a divisional medical station stood on the level ground during the war. There were steps leading up the short bank from the road to the entrance. The building was built almost entirely from wood, only the foundations were made of stone, some elements were made of concrete. There is almost no trace left of the building. Only a piece of concrete element remained in the place where the stairs used to end in front of the entrance.

An information board at the site of the hospital points to the nearby graveyard with 63 Russian prisoners who lost their lives under an avalanche in March 1916. There is no mention that the hospital stood here (and the telephone switchboard shack next to it). Only with a closer look at the ground can we trace the straight contours on the site of the former building. Cache owners don’t know whether these actually are the foundations of the hospital under the grass.
