Marquette County is the most populated county in the Upper Peninsula. It is home to Northern Michigan University. The county, along with many other places, is named for Father Marquette, a Jesuit missionary and explorer. He founded Sault Sainte Marie and St. Ignace.

Father Marquette, whom Marquette County was named after, was an intrepid explorer. To find this cache, you'll have to use a bit of exploration.
