Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Robertson County Historical Marker Series.

There are actually 3 markers at this location.  Read them all and get a mini history lesson on this part of Robertson County.  The marker this cache focuses on is the Staggers Point marker.  Staggers Point was one of the earliest settlements in Robertson County, founded by a group Irish settlers who moved from Alabama to the area in 1833.  Closely associated with this area is the Dunn Fort Cemetery (GCA08FB), where several individuals mentioned on the back of the marker are buried.  The Moss' buried there are my kinfolk.
