Julius Põder (21. V 1889 Pajusi vald – 5. III 1959 Tartu), näitleja ja näitejuht. Eesti Näitlejate Liidu liige (1934). Õppis 1897–1902 Narva linnakoolis. Alustas lavategevust 1905 Narvas, töötas 1912–21 ja 1923–44 Vanemuises ning 1921–22 Draamateatris, 1945–47 mängis Endlas. Julius Põder (21. V 1889 Pajusi parish – 5. III 1959 Tartu), was an actor and acting director. Member of the Estonian Actors' Union (1934). He studied at the Narva City School from 1897 to 1902. He started his stage activities in 1905 in Narva, worked in 1912–21 and 1923–44 in the Vanemuine Theatre and in 1921–22 in the Drama Theatre, and in 1945–47 played in Endla. (source Encyclopedia of the Estonian Theatre Association). In Tartu, Julius Põder lived at 47 Soinaste street. His house has now been demolished and replaced by a new building. However, on the border of the former plot you will find a memorial stone dedicated to a linden tree planted by Julius Põder.
