Geocache Description:

Where: Christmas Island, Flying Fish Cove, seaside park by Gaze Rd.

When: Christmas Eve, start: 8 PM, end: 10 PM

Hello,

We are a couple of geocachers from Poland. We had always a dream to spend Easter on Easter Island and Christmas on Christmas Island. We have visited so far Easter one and have spent Easter time there. This year we decided to make the second part of our dream true. So coming to Christmas Island. We are from traditional Polish comunity and we do celebrate Christmas with wider family. We start the biggest family gathering of the year when the first star becomes visible on the sky on Christmas Eve. But this year it is going to be different and special. We are both leaving our family at home and going to visit this isolated island. But we know we will miss our family. So planning to meet and explore sky looking for stars - this time on southern hemisphere at the same time as our Polish kin will do the same under well known northern sky.

As we are geocachers we would like to meet with the other geocachrs who happned to have the same plan so be this time on the island. Maybe some local geocachers cuold also do us a favour and join? We would like to celebrate together 25 years of geocaching, talk about favourite caches found in isolated destinations, about special places visitied while geocaching and for these who care... start celebrating Christmas.

Happy Chrismas for these who celebrate and Happy and Prosperious New Year for everyone!
