Welcome to the Crystal Summit Warming Hut.
This is on a parcel of county property and is managed by the Pocatello Pathfinders. I reached out to them and they are happy for us to use the warming hut. There is some free parking available as well as a plowed section that has a fee associated in case the crowd is too big. You don't need to snowshoe, XC ski, or snowmobile to get to the event but it is much more fun than trudging the short distance from your car through the snow. There are a lot of routes around here for all of those activities for before and after the event.
During the event we'll do a 5 minute signal the snowman building contest, have some hot cocoa, and try a few different baked goodies. We'll have a stove ready if you want to cook something. We're celebrating a geocaching landmark of 25 years playing the game so we'll have a 25 square bingo game as well.
You don't need to bring anything other than just show up and enjoy.
