Geocache Description:

Celebrating National Pumpkin Day and 25 years of Geocaching , Bear Creek Nature Park edition!

This park is where we attended our first event in Sept of 2007. It was put on by Oakland Twp parks, mi-geocaching.org, & surferacf, in conjunction with the Goodison Good Tymes local event. The park has changed drastically since then, and for the better. There are groomed trails, a great playscape, and even vault bathrooms! It seems only appropriate to celebrate 25 years of Geocaching here.  And since it’s fall, y’all, how about we celebrate that scrumptious squash, The Pumpkin!

Join us as we celebrate the fun that Geocaching is and the goodness that Pumpkins are! Who knows, there may be some pie in your future!

Come equipped with your favorite caching stories, favorite pumpkin recipes, or even just to partake in visiting with friends. Bottled water and snacks provided.

We have the pavilion reserved for the day so we have cover in case of rain. However, there are no walls to block the wind. Be prepared with layers. It is officially Sweater Weather!

This celebration will start @ 2:30 and officially end at 4:30. Feel free to stay longer or leave earlier.

Bear creek Nature Park is located at: 740 W Snell Rd, Rochester, MI 48306

Features of Bear Creek Nature Park:

Bear Creek Nature Park spans 107 scenic acres, offering ADA-accessible limestone trails, boardwalks, and rustic paths perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, and wildlife observation. Explore woodlands, meadows, marshlands, and wetlands in this beautiful natural setting. The park features a playground, picnic pavilion, grill, observation decks, and vault toilets.
