December 21, 2024 is the December solstice, the official beginning of winter. It will actually occur at 1:20am PT but we won't be up to celebrate right then. The Northern Hemisphere will be having its shortest day and longest night of the year on this date. After this date, days will gradually grow longer as the Earth tilts back toward the sun, moving toward the spring equinox on March 20, 2025. That means more daylight for geocaching!
Dress appropriately as we will meet on the patio outside and we can't predict what the weather will be that morning. There is no need to purchase food or drinks to attend. Eating, drinking, and chatting are optional. Bring your trackables to exchange and discover as well as stories to share.
We hope to see all of you in and near the Coachella Valley, newer cachers and experienced cachers, as well as any visitors to help celebrate winter and our favorite hobby.
