A Virtual Cache designed for the traveling Geocacher. It is meant to get you off the highway for a few minutes and show you some of the neat stuff in the areas you drive through. Fully ADA Compliant and paved all the way.
It will take only a few minutes to get to this cache but you will be rewarded with a bit of history and a view of the California Coast that can't be beat. While you are here, please take the time to drive along the shore hugging road and see the views.
When you arrive at the coords, you will find a memorial. As you read the plaque, look straight ahead and on the far horizon you will barely be able to see this cache's namesake. Weather permitting and binoculars do help. Or, turn around and look to the much closer "Battery Point Lighthouse". It is a working museum that you may visit when the tide is out, if you wish.
