So those ugly holiday sweaters actually have a day!
From modest beginnings in the 1950's when they were called Jingle Bell sweaters, never really became a "thing" until the 1980's. Suddenly, people started searching their parents and grandparents attics looking for the 1950 relics. Second hand stores started to see these sweaters that used to languish on the racks for months, even years, get snapped up as soon as they went on display.
There are now several companies that make the ugly Christmas sweater styled after your favorite movie and tv series along with the standard Reindeer doing unspeakable acts of procreation, etc.
Come by to take a break from Xmas planning and shopping to share some of the spirit of the season. Wear your Ugly Sweater, if you have one, or two, or your best Santa Hat and Xmas jewelry. (not a requirement)
You can also earn a Souvenir to Celebrate the December solstice which occurs on Saturday at 1:19 a.m. It is the shortest day of the year here in the Northern Hemisphere, and the longest day in the Southern Hemisphere.
See you there.
