The Forrest Hill Rail Trail, is a 3.6-kilometre link from Bakers Lane in Kooringal to Elizabeth Avenue in Forrest Hill
In July 2019, Council approved the Forest Hill link utilising Kyeamba Avenue and the rail corridor east of Bakers Lane to link the suburb of Forest Hill with Kooringal. The path will run down the southern side of the railway corridor.
Detailed designs have been completed, however since March 2021 Wagga Wagga City Council has been seeking approvals from Transport for NSW to use the rail corridor. To date (August 2024) these approvals have not yet been obtained.
