LKA York
Series and Location Information
The Last Known Address (LKA) series visits cemeteries around Western Australia and since its original conception by richlink, has since been harnessed by a number of cachers to provide a comprehensive tour of cemeteries throughout the state.
This cemetery is the fourth oldest cemetery in continuous use in Western Australia. It was first used from 1854 as the Catholic cemetery for York. The town of York was established in 1831. The population was predominantly Anglican and buried in St John's cemetery, at the crossroads of Balladong Street and Avon Terrace. The site of the former St John's Church is marked there by the remaining gravestones. Problems with flooding led to the abandonment of burials at St Johns and in 1874 this site was selected for a new multi-denominational cemetery.

Cache Description
The cache is a bison tube camouflaged within a fake rock. There is no room for swaps or trackables and the cache only contains a logbook.
