Geocache Description:

這裡曾經是台灣木材業的重要據點，貯木池過去是用來浸泡和保存原木的水池，木材經浸出後，不易腐朽，可以延長木材的使用壽命。

貯木池周圍規劃有環湖步道，沿途可以欣賞到湖光山色和豐富的生態景觀。這裡的湖水清澈見底，倒映著周圍的山巒和樹木，景色非常壯麗。步道旁種植了楓樹、落羽松等植物，秋冬季節時，這裡的景色尤為迷人。
