Dry January? Hope so... Non-native removal CITO
Well, it's probably not what they mean, but let's hope for a dry January (= no rain or snow) for another Wellington Park CITO.
By request. a January CITO and continuation along the edges of Wellington Park. I appreciate every hour of time you've donated to continue clearing this park of the nasty Invasive Himalyan Blackberry brambles, English Ivy, English Holly and Spurge Laurel... If the ground freezes, we can continue to cut back the bramble branches that are here above ground. And/or we can walk the trails and determine other pockets of invasive blackberries But hopefully we can continue to pull until it freezes. We'll tackle a new little pocket of blackberry brambles on the North side of the park. We've put in over 224 man hours over the first 22 CITOs. Thank you for coming again and again and again...
And when we're done, an official event to follow and the usual unofficial luncheon at the pub after that... Hope you can make all three!
