Sometimes life feels like a storm rolling through, knocking over the tall, proud trees we thought would stand forever. On one such day, I found myself meeting with my divorce lawyer—a moment that called for some fresh air and reflection. I strolled to a nearby gazebo, surrounded by green space, tall trees, and the occasional stump.
It was then I noticed one of the tallest trees, its trunk rotting from within. Its strength, once unquestionable, had been compromised over time by forces unseen. Decay is like that—it works quietly, hollowing out what seems unshakable. Yet even in decay, there’s renewal. Just as a tree’s fallen bole can nurture new growth, a fresh start often springs from what’s broken.
As I pondered this, I decided to clear out some of the rot. It wasn’t just therapeutic for the tree—it felt symbolic. Cleaning out the decay, making space for light and air, was a reminder of my own journey. It was in that hollow, rotted space that inspiration struck: this would be the perfect hiding spot for an Rx bottle—a prescription for moving forward, a smile tucked away in the remnants of something that once stood tall.
Now, it’s your turn to take the stroll, discover this hidden gem, and reflect on what the cycle of life can teach us about resilience.
PS. Geocaching, for me, is all about the shared experience, and I’d love to hear yours! I encourage you to share your photos and stories—it makes the whole adventure even more enjoyable for everyone (#sharingiscaring). I’m excited to see what treasures you find and swap, and I’m always open to any feedback or suggestions to make things even better.
Happy caching, and may you find as many smiles along the way as I do. Go team!
