About Riverstone (Rivo) Station.
Originally the railway line past Blacktown had only 4 stations, being Riverstone, Mulgrave and Windsor, with Richmond being the end of the line. The line was electrified as far as Riverstone in 1975. It was also a busy parcels receiving depot. The line past Riverstone was electrified in 1991 and trains were able to run through to Richmond from the city from 1992. Riverstone's main employment centre was the Riverstone Meatworks, located immediately next to the railway line, from 1878 until it was closed in 1994.
This cache is a nice easy park and grab.
