I remember when there were quite a few Geocaches in Riverhead... Sadly that is not the case nowdays .
So when I was watching my 5 youngest grandies doing Athletics at the Memorial Park , I hung around afterwards.....did a bit of walking and exploring , and found a few good hiding places....Some used to have caches in, or nearby , years ago .
So much has changed her over the last 20 years .....Heaps of housing is the main difference ..
Anyway...as for the cache . Park in the parking bay at the no exit end of The Landing ...
Find your way down the path to the seated area and the jetty / Floating pontoon....
Very scenic when the tide is fully in ....And you will often see kayaks or boats on the river .
The cache is the size of a small Marmite Jar ....covered in Black Tape .
Tucked behind last upright....Under hedge .
I have put some small rocks and bark for camoflage in front ....Don't want it to roll down the jetty and float away !
Nice easy hide in a peaceful place .
