Welcome to Sydney!
Since there will be many geocachers visiting Sydney this weekend, let's have an event to kick off the big weekend of geocaching!
Date: Friday January 24th
Time: 6pm to 6:45pm (we'll aim to take a group photo at 6:30pm)
Where: The walkway on the north-western side of the Sydney Opera House
Come along and meet the visitors, chat about all things geocaching, and get some recommendations on what the best caches to find in Sydney are! (and of course do the usual tourist thing of getting a photo with the Harbour Bridge in the background)
Getting there: There are numerous commercial carparks nearby, including the Opera House carpark. There is also (paid) street parking in The Domain and The Rocks, both of which are about 15mins walk from the event. If you'd rather not pay for parking, you can also travel to the nearby Circular Quay by ferry from many other locations around Sydney Harbour. See Transport NSW's Ferry website for more information.
