Welcome to the Taconic Region’s Winter 2025 Geocaching Series at the Walkway Over the Hudson. These caches are designed to get you up off the couch and outdoors this winter. These caches will take you for a stroll across the Hudson River, or you can drive to each side.
EAST SIDE: Due to construction, the parking area on the east side of the Walkway is closed through January 2026. Parking is available at Pulaski Park, 170 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie. You might also find a few spaces on Orchard Place (near the bend).
WEST SIDE: As of January 1, 2025 you must pay if you park on the street OR if you park in the lot by the caboose. This is not NYS Parking, but administered by the town.
How many bolts are there in the Walkway Over the Hudson bridge? The best answer AI could come up with is: The exact number of bolts used in the construction of the Walkway Over the Hudson bridge is not publicly available, but due to its large size and complex steel structure, it would likely contain thousands of bolts throughout its framework.
No kidding.
