During our visits here we saw both the red-faced 'Alae 'Ula (Hawaiian Moorhen) and white-faced 'Alae Ke'oke'o (Hawaiian Coot) in the nearby wetlands. Habitat destruction and depredation by mongoose have led to both becoming endangered with only a few hundred 'Alae 'Ula and approximately one thousand 'Alae Ke'oke'o remaining. Various Hawaiian moʻolelo—narrative stories—attribute the red-faced and white-faced birds with the provision of fire to the native Hawaiians when they first arrived in the islands. One version says the 'Alea 'Ula saw the Hawaiians in need and provided them the fire they required to survive; having given up their fire they became the white-faced 'Alae Ke'oke'o. Another version says Maui provided the white-faced 'Alae Ke'oke'o with fire to give to the humans leaving them the red-faced 'Alae 'Ula. A third variation says the white-faced 'Alae Ke'oke'o stole fire from Maui who branded their faces red in retaliation turning them into 'Alae 'Ula. You are looking for a camo peanut jar. Coordinates are the averaged value of averaged coordinates taken on three visits over two days using a GPSMAP 64st so hopefully GZ is dead on.
