This cache in the Pender Alphabet series is a bit different than the other 26. Instead of a bird photo, there is a puZZle key attached to the lid. Finding this and taking a photo of it could really assist you in identifying all of the birds in the other caches, as well as letting you know which of the bird words to use to figure out the location of the culmination cache! I have hidden this one in a spot that is somewhat challenging to get to, as there is limited parking in the area and a steep trail and steps to descend and later ascend once you have found what you are looking for, but that is because it can be a very worthwhile find! You don't have to go all the way down to the water below, but there is a handy bench down there with an awesome view and a cute little beach with seals, otters and many different seabirds just offshore,
You will pass the top of the Bidgood Ocean Access Trail if you are heading for the parking coordinates. Be careful pulling off the road, as the shoulder is narrow but you don't want to block traffic. Walk back to the stairs and head down until you come to a gathering of boulders. That is a great palce to start your search.
