Geocache Description:

Church Micro 1773...Brent Pelham

The church of St Mary the Virgin in Brent Pelham is of medieval foundation. The present church with its walls of flint rubble and its tiled roof was built in the 14th century. The 15th century saw the construction of the west tower with its diagonal buttresses and Hertfordshire spike. The century also saw the installation of a rood screen which was removed in later renovations but some of the carved wooden tracery was used to form a tower screen which can still be seen. Inside the church on the north wall the tomb of Piers Shonks can be seen.

This is a traditional cache and IS at the published coordinates.

The cache is a 60ml pot.
