A ruína do moinho, depois da zona de Água de Alto, é um importante vestígio do passado que remonta a uma época em que os moinhos eram fundamentais para o quotidiano desta comunidade local. Situada ao longo da ribeira, assim como tantas outas ruínas por este território, é testemunho de como a força da água era aproveitada para moer o centeio e o trigo, num processo essencial para a produção de farinha e pão, que alimentava as famílias.
Embora atualmente se encontre em estado de ruína, o moinho preserva a memória de uma tradição antiga e da interação entre o homem e a natureza. A sua estrutura, embora já debilitada pelo tempo e pela falta de manutenção, ainda reflete a engenhosidade das construções de outrora, que se integravam de forma harmónica no ambiente rural.
