The Escondido Community Foundation has unveiled "The Giving Arch," a transformative landmark that will welcome residents and visitors to the city. Spanning 108 feet wide and standing 40 feet tall at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Centre City Parkway, the arch symbolizes Escondido's community spirit.
The project, made possible by a generous anonymous $1 million donation, reflects the city's commitment to creating a memorable urban gateway. Designed to mirror the architectural lines of Escondido City Hall, the arch honors the philanthropic nature of the community.
On April 11, 2020 the Escondido Community Foundation and the City of Escondido officially lit the arch, dedicating it to first responders and serving as a beacon of hope.
Watch out of muggles everywhere. Also, be careful of traffic in the area. Please be safe.
