Phishing Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoMonkeyAU: Dear Geocachers,

With heartfelt regret, I believe that the time has come to retire some of my caches around Sydney Olympic Park to make way for new project(s) which are TBA at a later date.

Green Green Grass, Phishing and Newington Armory AL Bonus Cache have been collected and archived due to the difficulty of maintaining, with people logging a find without signing the log (or even visiting as a whole!) and ranting. It’s so annoying to deal with and delete the nonsensical and downright stupid OAR and RAR logs, even after a clear explanation. I have provided more details in my log for each individual cache just below this section.

However, I am slightly disappointed that I once moved Phishing and Green Green Grass when I was not required to, only for that cache to be later moved itself. I’m almost positive if you have been sitting at home and wondering where they got their names from. Well, they come from their original spots, which the new spots no longer resemble. I’m sorry to everyone out there who didn’t get to enjoy the caches at their original spots, but I’m sure it would have been more enjoyable, favourite point worthy material. I’ve attached solutions to each puzzle below too and some Behind The Scenes content I can only now give you now that this is archived.

As for Who’s Lara and Jim’s Tree Climbing Adventure, I have decided to let them stay for a little bit longer dur to time constraints today. I heard that they have some issues anyway, so they will be taken down soon by me, not anyone else who reads this log thinking they will do an initiative.

I’m so regretful to have to archive some of my best work. I hope cachers will come to enjoy my new caches when they come out. I hope those that completed every stage of my caches (solved the puzzle and made the find) truly enjoyed them, and especially those who gave Favourite Points! I have given you a public shoutout below to thank you for your kindness.

Thank you for taking the time to read my log.

Kind Regards,
GeoMonkeyAU

PHISHING

ISSUES
The cache could not be sighted after 40 minutes. I messaged someone to confirm another’s log and it appears that someone is repeatedly logging my caches without signing or visiting perhaps, thinking I wouldn’t notice. Well, WRONG.

SOLUTION

To solve the puzzle, you had to find two links. One was disguised as an underlined ‘e’ in the description and the other with the source code. You had to discover which characters in the highlighted text corresponded to the characters in the other text, which spelled out coordinates.

Behind The Scenes
I had originally placed the cache at S33° 49.216' E151° 03.906' There was a branch for my new fishing pole, it was PERFECT. Both in height and difficulty, it was SO GOOD, so it is the pure reason I even made the puzzle this to begin with.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to...
Phishing
Phishing Corp. is a group of people who send fake emails to people, disguised as Geocaching Volunteers, tricking people to allow access to their accounts, which is used to cause extreme havoc among geocaching communities all over the world.
It is said that they are "unstoppable" but with modern day technologies, nothing is impossible but it is still said that only the most knowledgeable and talented geocachers can find a way to calculate where their headquarters are and stop them. As someone who is helping to stop the chaos, I am recruiting you, an extremely knowledgeable and talented geocacher to help me in bringing everything back to order. Your task is find the key, by trying to find the source of disruption and then, coomunicating evidence through our phisher-proof communication system, Certitude.
I don't have any evidence of them yet because they really like to hide stuff... They say you will need to download files that contains details needed to find this geocache. But they ensure that this file is safe to download. It has not been checked by Geocaching HQ or by the reviewer for possible malicious content. Download these file at your own risk.
Phishing Corp have changed the location of their headquarters. Once you have figured it out, take the 15 digits from the coordinates and enter into the checker in order as a keyword (Example: N12 34.567 E89 01.234 = 12345678901234) and it will give you the new final location.
***This is a fictional story made for the puzzle and hence, is not trying to shame anyone or anything. In fact, I, myself appreciate the work that Geocaching Volunteers do and would like to thank them. Enjoy the puzzle.***
I hope you enjoy. GLHF - GMAU
