Geocache Description:

Sanson is a small settlement in the Manawatū District of the Manawatū-Whanganui Region. It is located just south of Bulls and the Rangitīkei River, and west of the city of Palmerston North. Two major roads of the New Zealand state highway network meet in Sanson, State Highways 1 and 3.

This is a simple geocache when you are visiting the Community Hall in Sanson.  It is also a good rest area while you are travelling on State Highway 1 or State Highway 3.

The hall was built in 1982 and is another of the district's larger facilities.  The location of this hall is within the Sanson School grounds at 26 Fagan Street.

The floor area of Sanson Community Hall is 692 square metres and can accommodate a maximum capacity of 500 people.  The hall consists of the court sports hall (basketball court size), supper room, kitchen, storage room, foyer and female and male toilets.  Disabled access is available at this location.

There is a large, sealed carpark available for use.

The GZ location is not far from Sanson School and Pool.  It was all quiet when we placed the cache, but the area could be busy during school hours and other times.

The geocache is just above ground level.  Please be careful of the electric fence nearby.
