Ezzel a rejtéssel szeretnélek meghívni benneteket Debrecen egyik meghatározó gazdasági övezetébe, a TEVA, korábban Biogal környékére.
A Biogal Gyógyszergyárt Rt. egy magyar gyógyszergyár volt 1960 és 2004 között. A gyár nevében a gal tag az ókori orvosról, Galénoszról elnevezett galénuszi készítményekre utal.
Magyarországon 1912-ben alapították meg a Debreceni Gyógyszergyárat, mely a világháború alatt hadi üzemként is működött. 1952-ben egyesült a Debreceni Gyógyszergyár a Hajdúsági Gyógyszergyárral.
Ezután 1960-ban vonták össze a Rex üzemet (Rex Ferenc, a debreceni gyógyszeripar és gyógyáru-nagykereskedés úttörője) és a Hajdúsági Gyógyszergyárat, ezzel létrehozva a Biogal Gyógyszergyár Rt.-t.
1960-1995 között a Biogal Gyógyszergyár Rt. fő profilja a penamecillin (Maripen) gyártás volt.
1995-ben az izraeli Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. felvásárolta a Biogal Gyógyszergyár Rt. részvényeit. 2004-ben a cég nevét TEVA Gyógyszergyárra változtatták.
A TEVA Gyógyszergyár Zrt. székhelye Debrecen, továbbá Sajóbábonyban rendelkezik egy fermentáló üzemmel és Budapesten egy irodával. A gödöllői gyárat 2018-ban bezárták.
A stadion felől megközelítve a Gyógyszergyárat, az idősek otthona és a szánkózódomb mellett haladunk el. A környéken vízműtelep, valamint – sajnos egyre rosszabb állapotú – piknikezőhelyek is találhatók.
A szemközti Móricz utca sarkán az egykori – 60 éve megnyílt – Klinika Mozi kapujának mai dekorációit is érdemes tanulmányozni (itt volt az ország első klinikai filmszínháza), a túloldalban fekvő sporttelep pedig a gyár dolgozóinak nyújt kikapcsolódást.
Az üzemek falain és az előttük zöldellő parkban több képzőművészeti alkotást és emlékművet is megtekinthetnek a kirándulók. Jobbról rögtön a Kígyóölő című, híres Wallenberg-szobor magasodik (Pátzay Pál 1952-es műve), vele szemben pedig, a buszmegálló fölött a „Vegyészek” ragyog (Laborcz Ferenc, 1964). Ott függ a gyáralapítás emléktáblája is, ugyanakkor a kanyarban egy kifejező Fleming-portré (Kövér József, 2002), valamint 1956-os mementó bújik meg a növények között. Ez utóbbiakat a cég készíttette és állította ki.
A felújításra váró Pallagi út mellett rozsdásodó sínek láttán a tömegközlekedés múltja is sokaknak eszükbe juthat. Hajdanán ugyanis ott járt a hármas villamos is, amin Pallagig lehetett utazni a gyógyfürdőtől. Az 1970 tavaszán megszüntetett vonalat az egykori – hajdúsámsoni, illetve nyírbátori – helyi érdekű vasút is használta. Az indóháztól (a mai Nagyállomástól) indult, és bonyolult pályán haladt sámsoni HÉV 108. születésnapjára július 29-én emlékeznek a vasútbarátok. Az interneten is fellelhető fotómásolatok szerint a pályán tetszetős sínbuszok és vasúti kocsik is közlekedtek.
A sámsoni és a nyírbátori járatokat üzemeltető társaságok alkalmazottai a munkán kívül is élénk közösségi életet folytattak. A Harmónia dal- és sportegylet például 1927. szeptember 29-én táncos műsoros estet rendezett a remízben, s a mulatságra ingyenes buszjáratokkal szállították a vendégeket. A Teva főkapuja vonalában sokáig egy kis bakterház is idézte a régi időket, amelyekre ma már szinte csak a sínekből kiálló váltószerkezetek emlékeztetik az arra járókat. A teleppel szemben viszont egy aszfaltozott, hosszú gyalogút visz be a fák közé – ahol a túrázók megannyi erdei madarat és szép növényt is megfigyelhetnek.

With this cache I would like to invite you to one of Debrecen's key economic zones, the area around TEVA, formerly Biogal.
Biogal Gyógyszergyárt Rt. was a Hungarian pharmaceutical company between 1960 and 2004. The gal tag in the name of the factory refers to the Galena preparations named after the ancient physician Galenos.
In Hungary, the Debrecen Pharmaceutical Factory was founded in 1912, which also functioned as a military factory during the World War. In 1952 the Debrecen Pharmaceutical Factory was merged with the Hajdúsági Pharmaceutical Factory.
Then in 1960, the Rex plant (Ferenc Rex, a pioneer of the pharmaceutical industry and wholesale trade in Debrecen) and the Hajdúsági Gyógyszergyár were merged, creating Biogal Gyógyszergyár Rt.

Approaching the Pharmaceutical Factory from the stadium, you will pass by the nursing home and the sledding hill. The area is also home to a waterworks and - sadly, in increasingly poor condition - picnic areas.
On the opposite corner of Móricz Street, the present-day decorations of the former Clinic Cinema gates (the country's first clinic cinema was here), which opened 60 years ago, are worth exploring, while the sports complex across the road is a recreational area for factory workers.
There are also several works of art and monuments on the walls of the factories and in the green park in front of them. On the right, the famous Wallenberg statue of the Snake Slayer (1952 by Pál Pátzay), and opposite, above the bus stop, the "Chemists" (Ferenc Laborcz, 1964), the plaque commemorating the founding of the factory, and an expressive portrait of Fleming (József Kövér, 2002) and a 1956 memorial among the plants around the bend. The latter were commissioned and exhibited by the company.
The rusting rails alongside Pallagi Road, which is due for renovation, may remind many of the past of public transport. In the old days, the tram number three used to run there, which used to run from the spa to Pallag. The line, which was closed in the spring of 1970, was also used by the former local railways of local interest - the Hajdúsámson and Nyírbátor ones. On 29 July, railway enthusiasts will commemorate the 108th birthday of the HÉV in Samson, which started from the Indohaus (now the Nagystation) and ran on a complicated route. According to photocopies, which can also be found on the internet, the line was also used by attractive buses and coaches.
Employees of the companies operating the Samson and Birbatar services also had a lively social life outside work. For example, on 29 September 1927, the Harmony Song and Sports Society organised a dance and entertainment evening in the remise, and free bus services were provided to the party. For a long time, a small bacteria house along the main gate of Teva was a reminder of the old days, but nowadays it is almost only the switchgear protruding from the rails that reminds passers-by of those days. Opposite the site, however, a long tarmac footpath leads into the woods, where hikers can see a variety of forest birds and plants.
