Oakey Creek Road
Oakey Creek Road is one way to head into the vineyard area of Pokolbin.Pokolbin is where you will find wineries, cellar doors, restaurants, Hunter Valley Gardens and more.
The area incorporates the small towns of Pokolbin, Lovedale, Nulkaba, Mount View, Wollombi and Rothbury. You can enter the area via Branxton, Greta and Cessnock.
Pokolbin is located 163km north of Sydney and 11km northwest of Cessnock. It is also about 65km from Newcastle.
There is safe parking on the road but be careful as the cars can speed along the road.
This geocache was part of GCProject: It’s Raining Caches 2025.
The project’s aim was to create a rain of new geocaches to fall from the sky across the state of NSW at 9AM on 19th January 2025-1 week before Sydney Geoquest, the first Block Party in the Southern Hemisphere.
Many legendary hiders came together to generously contribute their finest geocaches to build excitement and connection amongst the community and for all finders to enjoy years after the event.
This geocache helped make it rain.
