This park and grab cache replaces a cache that was here but was destoryed. The new cache isnt a fun cache like the other one.
Katy's Story
Sometime in the 1880s a greatful patient gave a bear cub to Missouri, Kansas, and Texas (or Katy ) Railroad hospital as a gift for saving their life. As the bear grew, it was sent to live in a small zoo at Pertle Springs in Warrensburg, and upon its death it was stuffed and again went to live at MK&T Hospital. The bear was at the Pettis County Courthouse for many years. I grew up east of Sedalia, and when we went to town Mom and Dad would take us by to see the bear at the courthouse. It was eventually given to the Pettis County Historical Society, and has lived in their museum ever since.
