This spot marks the start of a very special road for our whanau; we've been visiting for 30+ years to visit and experience Pukenui and the wonderful view of Mt Camel. There used to be a cache nearby (near the creek's parking area) but it was muggled a while ago, so we took the opportunity to place another one in a slightly different location. This creek has been significantly developed since we started coming here; it's a lot less smelly but there's also less surprise flounder present!
It is placed next to SH1 (you do not need to go onto the road to find this; safety first!!), and we emplore you to look around this little township and take in the sea air.
